It is often said that there is nothing new in markets, and this is broadly true. Different traders have different styles and approaches and keep different tools in their toolbox. Most traders have a specific style they employ based on a specific foundation, while some use a more discretionary/blended approach. Just a few examples include classical pattern and indicator based technical analysts, pure price action trading, and order flow trading with or without volume or Market Profile analysis.
My personal style is a blended approach. Over the years I have taken aspects of different approaches and combined them in a manner that I believe allows me to identify high probability trades with an extremely large R (reward to risk). I apply this approach to investing, swing trading, and day trading.
I have included chart of AMD up because the end of the beginner course culminates with applying the concepts covered and explaining how I used them to identify and execute this investment at the absolute bottom of the 2022 rates bear market.
This course (even the intermediate and advanced course) is not intended to be an exhaustive beginning to end course covering every aspect of trading. It is not littered with space filling fluff that can be found anywhere for free. It is the meat and potatoes of what goes into my style, and how I use it to identify high probability and highly profitable setups to execute investments, swing trades, and day trades. You can get the vegetables and the side salad elsewhere.
The beginner course is intended to appeal to traders and investors of all backgrounds and experience. Very little trading or investing experience will be required to understand the concepts that are covered. At the same time, many traders with years of experience are likely to walk away with some new wrinkles to consider adding to their established technical game.
By the end of the beginner course the goal is for traders to be able to go to the charts to see these concepts in action. Many traders will be able to immediately and successfully implement these concepts while others may require more time and intensive study. There is no substitute for screen time, and I have always made it a practice to study a new concept without having money on the line to remove the emotional component and bias. Then, once I feel comfortable with the new concept, I dive into some selective trades to put it into action.
Minimizing the noise once a trade has been executed allows for one to more quickly and accurately process the rapidly changing action in the markets.
